><))o> Reality is so hard to swallow nowadays
#3 days to A level Chemistry Practical Examination
#10 days to A level General Paper Examination
# The real thing is inching nearer!! Oh no!!
# Went for GP consultation with Intan today...after the usual "Ms Kwan-Terry-help-me-see-if-my-essay-layout-is-ok" thingy, I asked Ms Kwan-Terry if her current handphone has camera and if it was good. She is using a nokia blahblahblah hp (i don't know what's the number that goes with it but its a zero dollar hp if you sign up a 2 year contract with starhub....so just go and check the papers and you will know what i mean). Anyway....we started to digress from there...Ms Kwan-Terry started asking me if my dad was still as strict then i said "yah". Probing further, she asked how come i still turn out to be such a cheerful kind of person and i replied that its no point for me to sink into depression, might as well just shrugged the unhappiness off and i'll be happier. Then the conversation took a turn. Ms Kwan-Terry started to talk about herself.
Ms KT : My parents were also very strict.
Amy : Huh? Really meh? Thought your parents seemed like the "anything, anything" kind?
Ms KT : Yah lah...now they don't care about me but when i was young, in secondary and JC, they were very strict. Do your parents set a curfew for you?
Amy : Yep, be home by 7.
Ms KT : Mine was 5.
Amy : Oh man! 5?!? How to comply? Its so early! Cant get much things done also...
Ms KT : Yah loh. There was once i want to send a friend off at the airport but she is only leaving at 9 and in the end, i didn't get to send her off because my parents didn't allow me to.
Amy : Awww....
Ms KT : I was very rebellious then.
After saying that, she went on to say...
"I ran away from home before."
Me and intan immediately busted into laughters. Ms Kwan-Terry running away from home?!? It seemed like the last thing this mild-mannered, guai-looking kind of teacher would do. And she actually stayed at her friends house for "A FEW DAYS" putting her friend's parents into a fix of harbouring her and at the same time, handling her parents' phonecalls. I was like "WOW!" Really admire her courage for doing such a thing and at the same time, i was really amused by her confession. Oh well...it just goes to show that...
... every child yearns to be free and like a caged bird, the more you deny your child of freedom, the more your child seeks liberation...
# Haha...just a small tip to parents, parents-to-be and parents-will-be.
