# I just heard the news reporting that there are 426 peoples and companies made brankrupt, a 1.5% raise since September....Woah! Singaporeans are having problem managing $? I just finished reading the book Shopaholic by Shopie Kinsella...its about this lady named Rebecca Bloomwood who is a shopaholic and she cant stop buying unneccessary things....it seems that she's tries to buy short-lived happiness thru shopping, only to sink deeper into debt and depression. Although its a hilarious book meant to entertain, i must say....shopping can be quite a dangerous addiction...just look at me today....i went out with meimei to shop today (for her prom stuff) and i bought......
-an estee laura (is it spelled like this?) mascara ($7.90)
-a pair of exotic earing (at least i find it exotic, $6)
-took neoprints with meimei ($4)
-hotdog bun for lunch ($1.20)
*Kaching* Total telly is....$19.10! Wooh...that's $20 within a few hours which is a big deal for me...considering me being an extremely stringy (or as jac would like to call it -calculative) person...but oh well...once in a while its alright to indulge myself in such pleasurable sins yeah? Haha...anyway its meimei's birthday today!

#So as i was saying....brankrupcies is like such a scarey thing....u get into this vicious cycle of accumulating interest along with the loans you took, the money you owed the bank, credit card companies and paying off your interest over and over again...its like the third world debt kind of thing....*shivers* I would never EVER wanna get into that kind of situation.....and therefore...i've planned...if i work, i will try to save about $500 or more per month -a form of investment for my future....*amy beams*

#Woh...i didn't know that my comment about sly was causing such a stirr in my blog...oh well...i agree with you yonghao, yes yes...to be an idol, it takes more than talent...u need charisma, looks, engaging personality, blah blah....sly's defintely not lacking any of that given his large fan base...but honestly...i really think he lacks the singing talent...simple not versatile enough for my liking...i mean...can you guys imagine him representing singapore in the world idol, performing like how he did last week and finally get screwed by the foul-mouth judges, putting singaporeans to shame and at the same time, questioning singapore's credibility of choice? Well...in my opinion, at the moment, i would rather taufik win....at least my heart tells me that he's a better choice than sly. However, given sly's large fan base....it seemed unlikely...oh well....i'm crossing my fingers...btw....i dont really mean that those that support sly are tone deaf or what...i'm just kinda frustrated that olinda got booted off....
#Idols aside, meimei and i went shopping for prom today! (ok...more like meimei was doing the shopping and i was the accomplice....i mean...i was accompanying her...) After walking around orchard for nearly 5 hours plus, meimei bought her dress! It was a lovely white knee-length tube top with a top lacey-liked layer, nicely embrioded with little white flowers....and the best thing? It wasn't very expensive compared to most of the dresses we saw! Haha...so happy for her...but the sad thing was, both of us got too caught up with shopping that we forgot our lunch....by the end of the trip, we were both having stomachaches and gastric...Boo hoo boo hoo....no wonder they say shopping can kill....=P

#The past few ten days had been kinda boring....with all the chemistry paper going on and mugging...i found chem paper 2 and paper1 kinda tough..*sigh* not looking too good!Oh well...but As are ending...that's something to cheer about!
#Another thing that i wana cheer about is that i have found my first three month friend, Renukha, over the net!!! *whistles* How cool is that?! And i got to learn that she is now in Ukraine, as a first year medicine student (awww....how i envy her!!!)...btw...jac, if you are reading this, she ask me to say "hi" to you and marlin! I kinda miss Renukha...her sudden departure from AJ just seem...so....oh well...sudden. No one had any idea where she had gone like she just vaporised into thin air! So you can imagine the kind of excitment when i found her on friendster...its was like "AHHHHH!!! RenukHA...kha...kha..."...yeah...get what i mean? She says that she might be coming to Singapore next summer! Gosh...just hope i get a chance to meet up with her....

Shark's Tale with my bf today...actually we were thinking of watching
Bride And Prejudice but there are only sneak previews at odd times for this show...so we decided to go for the cartoon...i have only 1 comment for the flim - what a flimsy plot!!! No doubt there were some hilarous moments, most of the jokes were generally lame....but i love the theme song though....you know...that one that goes like...

...yeah? Its stuck in my head now...and having any song stuck in my head isin't a good thing for me...wanna know why? Because during exams...i will hear the song in my head and thus distracting my concentration...it happened to me during the prelims though i didn't say this to anyone...I forgot what song was it though...haha...luckily during the As i managed to block the song out at least for a few hours and once i handed up my paper, the song automatically started to play itself in my head....the lastest one stuck in my head before this dooo dooo doo song was you know...that one that goes like...

#In the middle of 3 BOMBASTIC (is it spelled like that?) papers now....just finished chem paper3 which was pretty ok save for some hiccups at the organic chemistry section and food chem (a question on differences in protein, minerals and vitamins content of skimmed milk and cream milk came out....what the hell?!! I don't drink skimmed milk...how i know?!?)...anyway its bio paper2 and maths paper1 tommorrow! *gasp*
So what am i doing here blogging away? I just feel trapped lah...like a pathetic fish caught in the net -helplessness.
I should really get out of here and get to mugging....

# Why i chose "Perfect Storm" as the title of my entry today? Well, ever heard of the movie "Perfect Storm", a true story-turned-movie based on a fishing vessel that was caught at the converging point of three stroms occuring stimultaneously? This is what will be happening to me next week...Monday and Tuesday to be exact. I will be having Chem paper 3 (all core topics including option topic) on Monday and followed by Biology paper 2 (all core topics) and Maths paper 1 (all core topics) on Tuesday. A perfect storm? Yeah you bet! I hope i come out of the storm alive! *fingers crossed*
# That aside, i have no wish to talk about how GP was today...since i'm sure it would be a rather boring topic to talk about compared to something i've been wanting to share for some time. All i can say....GP was ok...do-able =) I'll be happy enough if i pass....i never had high expectations for GP. Therefore, being able to complete the paper in time was already quite an achievement for me =P
# Ahh...finally...i've been wanting to share this for a while but i couldn't find the time and PC to blog! Nevertheless, now is my golden opportunity!!
# Have anyone ever irritated you so much that you wish you could slap that person? Ok....no one irritated me but someone bullied my bf and in turn irritated me. Who is this scroundrel? Not too long ago, my bf became a member of a rather prestigous choir in Singapore. He was placed under provisional membership for about a month. During this period, the conductress assigned a mentor to him and this mentor was such a bast***. Not only was he a lousy mentor (he simply did a horrific job of "grooming" my bf, demoralise my bf, question his singing ability when the conductress says otherwise!), he actually looked down on my conductor (whom i've been under for all these years) saying that he is lousy as a conductor when he himself has yet to even achieve any peanuts!
So who is this guy? His name is ALBERT. I tried to find a photo of him to post here but i could not (see...he's such an insignificant figure). Nonetheless, i shall continue to shame him on my blog. This ALBERT, according to my bf is
-fat
-ulgy
-horrendous attitude
-arrogent
YUCKS! To avoid all other unfortunate ALBERTS who share the same name as him to come under my "shaming", i shall rename this ALBERT to KUKUBIRD.

Amy (in a sascarstic tone) : Oh, you mean you don't what's the meaning of
infamous ? Why not trying checking the Collins dictionary or for a more PRECISE meaning, try the Oxford dictionary.
KUKUBIRD (fuming like an ancient Cho Cho train and mumbled) : ...BITCH...
Amy (with an all-knowing smile) : Oh yes....Babe In Total Control Haa!
With that i will do a 180 degree classic shampoo girl turn and hopefully smack that KUKUBIRD's face with my lice-infested, serum-coated hair, allowing some lice to migrate onto his EVEN more oily face! I will stride away in style, bathing myself in the pride that arose from the thunderous applause coming from the bystanders who have been long oppressed by that authoritative KUKUBIRD for so long.
# *snap* okies...i'm out of my fantasy....will i ever have the courage to deal with that KUKUBIRD? We'll see....but that KUKUBIRD deserved to be taught a lesson for his arrogence!
