><))o> one more thing off my wishlist
#It was Teachers' Day today and this year, i have made a bold decision to return to my secondary school. It was bold because i havent went back since i took my O level results and i'm sure the school has changed, people has changed. I felt kinda insecured when i stepped into the school but i'm glad to see some familiar faces and some not-so-familiar faces. The principal of my ex-school is still as boring...her speeches are just so long!!! It is really obvious that students are getting increasingly impatient and they even clapped before she finished her speech. That was really rude of them....but then again...i might have done the same just to make her shut up!

Anyway...i met up with some of my teachers...and untied my emotional knot today....YES! Finally! This thing has been bugging me for quite a while and today, when i finally met the person, i realised that she has changed alot. The change arose because she is in a relationship now and has realised alot of things which she haven't realised in the past. Some of the changes surprised me (but i'm not going to discuss it here...its kinda private)...overall...i know i felt a tingling bit of saddness for her...because she made alot of sacrifices for her relationship and these changes were antagonistic to her personalitity...*sigh* How unpredictable life is....

><))o> Happy..=)
#Eversince the 0903 blog is set up (since 2 days ago), a wave of blogger mood has since rippled out of control among the 0903 people especially the bloggers....it is really great to see that 0903 is so full of enthusiam about just almost everything! Yeah!! Keeping on blogging you guys!

#I dont whether i should feel guilty or glad....but it seems that i have infected meimei, yanting and shuxin(just now) to design their own blogskins...opps....yes yes...i'm the culprit (amy points to herself)...meimei is really addicted now and her first blogskin is soooooo nice!!! The blogskin is called Snow Fairy and she drew the picture herself!!! She's really talented man...hehe...ask her to draw a few butterflies and flowers which i intend to use for the upcoming blogskin design...hehe...so thank you meimei! By the way...leena is using Meimei's design...finally she got rid of that ulgy, problematic, purple skin! Good move leena!

#So much for the craziness....i'm feeling the pressing need to mug...so i will be taking a break from designing blogskin...its really a break i must take if not i think i will flop my prelims and i think my dad is gonna kill me! =) Yep...i will be taking a break from blogging too...probably blog less often...exams ultimately more important ya? Hehe...cheers to all...esp 0903!

><))o> Badminton game
#Played badminton with jac, leena, bernard, boonkiat, cheehong, shuxin, tan zhi hao and yong hao today....(wenxian and yong zhi hao was also there but didn't get to play with him)....i think bernard, tan zhi hao and yong hao played like pros (yong hao was formly a school team player)....playing with them is scarey....especially bernard and yonghao combine....the game started off with me and leena playing against bernard and boonkiat. As the game progresses, people start to switch sides and courts. It became me and jacintha playing against Leena and Chee hong (poor chee hong kana smack by my shuttlecock quite a number of times due to favourable timing, angle for a smash and chee hong's unfavourable position which was infront of me)....so sorry cheehong (though i doubt he will read this..but it makes me feel better anyway)....then it became a 3 against 2 game...the 3 were me, shuxin and jacintha (alternating with leena) while the two were bernard (alternating with zhi hao) and yong hao.....those two guys are power man...it takes the 3 of us to be able to keep the game in decent shape...anything lesser than the power of 3, i think we will be trashed!!! Haha...anyway...i had loads of fun! Unforunately, my handling of the badminton racket was bad! I am now have brusies at the wrist! My arms are trembling now because it has been a very long time since i played the sport....i'm truly one feeble ah Mah now!Below are some snapshots which leena took...

#Went to the sims website at www.thesims.com and found out that maxis is releasing the game, thesims2, on Sept 17! FInally!!! I have been waiting for the game for so long and i'm really looking forward to indulge myself to a copy of the game!! Then again...A levels is near....hmm...i think i might have to prioritise and put my studies above games *sigh*

><))o> Butterfly Dreams
#I was chatting with Leena and Jacintha this afternoon and suddenly i had the compulsion to design another blogskin....after a few hours of work, here's my final product!

I named the blogskin Butterfly Dreams because i have used yellow and orange for this skin and it kind of gives a very cheerful outlook...something like a happy dream filled with butterflies...(ok...i am a butterfly craze!)

Gotta stop hogging onto the computer now!

#Mr Lim Kim Thye (a chemistry lecturer) said, "If you cannot convince the lecturer, then confuse him."

><))o> The Rugby Ball that has a mind of its own
#This morning, we played touch rugby for a change (instead of the boring basketball!) and at first i was kinda looking forward to it because it was a new game and i have never tried it before. But at the end of the lesson, i felt traumatised! I was traumatised by the rugby ball itself (kinda reinforces the fact that i hate balls.....all kinds of balls be it from golfball to basketball...balls you use for sports ok....dont let your thoughts stray!) . The dumb rugby ball is not exactly spherical in shape which i am sure 3/4 of the globe knows (the other 1/4 would be cavemens or pathetic frogs stuck in sadako-haunted wells!). The rugby ball is oval in shape and because it is so oddly-shaped, i think the centre of gravity of the ball "behaves" in a weird way too. Once you drop the ball, that's it. YOU ARE DOOMED! The ball will go.....PIONG!.........PIONG!

PIONG!

PIONG! PIONG!.......................PIONG!......

PIONG!
And it doesn't piong in any systematic way.....it piongs everywhere in no particular direction and we would look like idiotic MOUSECATCHERS (seemingly unable to outwit the mouse despite our oh-so-big brain) going after the ball. I was practicing with a group of girls and everytime someone fails to catch the ball, we would all go "OH NO!" and throw our hands up, hitting our heads in agony. The "OH NO!" cames from the ongoing frustration and stress that we feel while handling the ball while the agony comes from watching the person who misses the ball (a.k.a idiotic mousecatcher) going after the ball. By the end of the game, we had concluded that that dumb ball probably has a mind of its own (sometimes like Flubber....you know...that green slimy stuff in the movie Flubber)...also, we were exhausted...the ball was too hyperactive for us! Well...who cares anyway....i hate balls!

Saw this cute rugby ball which sufering the net. The chinese words says "Hong Kong" and there is a pig in the middle of the ball. The pink background and white pokadots just made the whole ball so corny-looking and cute! However, i still hate balls!

#Met a pervert on train yesterday...i really dont believe my damn luck! And the pervert was some fat, ulgy-looking guy...why must all perverts be either fat and ulgy-looking or fat and nerdy-looking? YucKs...this is what happened...

I was on the train and at Yishun, quite a number of people alighted, leaving the seats empty. Seizing the golden opportunity, i walked over and sat down at the seat near the train door. Then there was the pervert who stood so close to me even though there was more then enough space to accomodate his "adipose exoskeleton". Of all places, he chose to stand infront of me and worse still, he leaned his leg onto MINE!!! Initially, i though it was because i had crossed my legs too high so i shifted my legs and guess what? That pervert shifted his position too and lean his leg onto my leg again! YUCKS! He was also leaning so close to me! I was so disgusted and embarrassed!
Finally, i gave up shifting for i had no more space to shift so i uncross my legs (Carefully not touching that pervert's leg...)...it was no easy task because that pervert had left little space between my leg and his...so i ended up doing a little gymnastic and got my leg down. It was only then that the pervert moved away from me. What the *4^$S02-@#&*! YUcks! Just my luck man and this isin't the first time i met a pervert!

There was another time during my secondary school years....my friends and i took 98 and was siting at the backrow. Suddenly, we noticed this guy infront of us who was bending his body down at 90 degrees. He was trying to peeping through our skirts! Unsatisfied with his initial position, he actually stood up and sat at another seat just so that he could get a "better view"! YUCKS! We got so scared (we would only young, innocent 14 years old) and alighted the bus.

#Perverts are just so irksome! Dont they have anything better to do then coming up with formiable plans to peep at girl's undies or taking advantages of girls?!? If they love to look at undies so much, then go to departmental stores or even Scott's Blush outlet and look at undies all they want lah! Then again, they might just become public nuisance! What the ()#)(*$()*! WHy must they indulge in such cheap thrills? I hope they get caught and get caged up in jail so that the city is safer for young, innocent schoolgirls, teenagers, ladies and maybe even ah mahs!

><))o> To PM Goh
#He was a humble man who never intended to step into politics and yet devoted the past 14 years of his life into leading Singapore. He was a man who injected humor into serious issues and made those issues seem less daunting. He was a man who was cool, calm and collective on all occassions. He was in a position where he sometimes has to make unpopular decision and yet, his popularity soared. Children loves to play with him...aunties even ah mahs blush at the sight of him. He is Mr Goh Chok Tong.

'Many of you have thanked me for taking care of Singapore. Tonight, I want to thank you. ' PM Goh

#The sentence above, taken from PM Goh's National Day Speech, touched me a lot. It just shows what a down to earth man that PM Goh has always been. I remember a day ago, i grabbed the morning papers (for the first time in the life) just so that i could find out what post will Mr Goh be receiving in the new Lee Cabinet. To my delight, Mr Goh is now Senior Minister! Well...although it is a well-known fact that the power which SM wields is much less compared to the PM himself, i'm still happy to know that Mr Goh will be staying around in the Cabinet. Yesterday, my gang and i were in the library when we started discussing about Mr Lee and Mr Goh....and we all love Mr Goh! We are just drooling over his pictures in the newspapers...haha...its crazy yes...but Mr Goh is just likeable and if he should suddenly vanish from the politics scene, i would feel very worried for Singapore's future...which is why i felt more reassured when Mr Goh is named Senior Minister. As for the upcoming junior PM Lee, let's just wait and see how he performs...

#I'm watching the Swearing-In Ceremony now. When Mr Goh arrived, everyone present clapped! Not even Mr Lee Kuan Yew himself received such a welcome! This just shows how well-liked Mr Goh is!

#Mr Goh in my eyes, is truly a Singaporean who served on behalf of Singaporeans. Thank you Mr Goh (though i doubt he will ever read this!).

><))o> Happy 39th Bithday to Singapore!
#In exactly 45mins time, Singapore is going to turn 39th (woo...exciting...)....just now after dinner, i saw my idol, Goh Chok Tong on TV giving the National Day Speech...*sigh* this is the last time he will be giving the speach as Singapore's Prime Minister....so sad...i wanted to watch...but decided against it...because i wanted to finish up my homework....

#If you have noticed, i have uploaded the song, Home, this year's national day song. It's a collaboration between Tanjong Katong Girls' School Choir and Tampines Primary School Choir (collectively known as Young Voices)...the voices are just so melodious especially the male soprano ( a guy from TPS) and female soprano (a girl from TKGS) who sang the solo and descant respectively... My heart aches when i had to scale down the file size of the song which means comprising the sound quality....luckily the sound quality wasn't affected much... when i listen to the song, it kind of have a propaganda effect on me...many people singing in harmony equivalent to Singaporeans living and working together in harmony....haha...propaganda or not, i hope you guys enjoy the song as much as i do!

#Once again, HAPPY 39TH BIRTHDAY TO SINGAPORE!

><))o> AJ amazing race and the amazing 09/03
#Warning: You are about to read a blog entry about a victorious class. Do not feel jealous.

#National Day kicked off today with Bernard summoning the class to school early to brief us for the race....well..there wasn't much briefing actually...(or i cant remember there being any briefing!)....anyway...Bernard is in his Number One uniform and he is the parade commander for this year's National Day....Gosh...he looked so good in his uniform...nothing like the usual sloppy Bernard....haha...(sorry Bernard...just stating the facts!)..below is Bernard looking very serious with Shuxin...

#Bernard's voice was the loudest during the whole parade...and of course...he looked the smartest (i'm not being bias!)...below is a picture of the usual ceremony that we have for National Day...

#After Mr Tan said the National Day Speech, he sounded the horn and while everyone was still wondering what to do, I heard Shuxin's voice, "Amy! Run! RUN!" and i ran straight, through the lockers area and up the stairs to Lecture Theatre 2, our first stop for the AJ race. Lo and Behold, we are the first class and the classes that came subsequently behind us (probably due to slow reflexes! Haha!) are being shut out of the theatre and we kinda took our time to answer the questions....we are asked to say "Singapore, my homeland" in Tamil and Malay....luckily we got Marlin, Intan, Leena and Jacintha. While Marlin and Intan led the class smoothly through saying the phrase in Malay, Jacintha and Leena's Tamil weren't too powerful and they had to call Ganison for help...(call themselves Indians....haha...jac/leena, no offence k?)...anyway, within 20mins (at 8am), we finished the first task and ran to the housing estate opposite AJ to board the bus that was waiting for us....Intan and Ganison were at the bus waiting for us (because they have lower limb injury that spared them from the running)..anyway, this two sweeties coax the bus uncle to drive the bus near the overhead brigde so that we don't have to ran so far....(aww....so nice of them yah?)....and then it's off to our second destination.... [btw, we scored 11 out of 15 for the first station].

My gang and i dominating the backseats!

Meimei and Leena getting their faces tattooed.

Leena with the headband wrapped around her not-so-flat chest in Survivor style!

#Our second stop was the Singapore Teachers' Union. We were the first to reach the station and i overheard the student helper telling the teachers that she was amazed at how fast we got there and the teachers nodded in agreement. Anyhow, we were handed a set of questions again....this time the questions are tough with weird questions like what does al-Kharyyam (i think its spelled that way) mean....when was the Singapore Teacher's Union set up...when was its estate developed (we literally had to sit down and "have coffee" with the person-in-charged of STU before we could get the answers to the solution...think that guy must have been in conspiracy with those teachers at the station!).....the question about al-Kharyyam was especially hard...everyone including Ms Kwan-Terry, was either begging the guy for the answer or using their handphones to make calls....

#However horrible the second task may be, we got through with a beautiful score of 75 out of 100...and left for the third station at 8.45am...waving to many other teams that have, unforunately, arrive just to see us waving to them (Muahaha...i have to admit...we are a sadistic class...)

#At the third station, we kinda flop it because we hadn't read the questions carefully enough...we scored a miserable 40 out of 70...however, it cannot be a testimonial to our efforts because we did try...(see below)

#At 9am sharp, we hurried to our last station (1 hour for 1 whole task...how great is that? We are WAYYYY ahead of time!), Thomson Plaza. The questions there was easy mainly on NTUC, road names that Thomson PLaza is located and so on.....but of course, there was some "fishing" of information to do....while marlin and a few others went to ask the stern-looking security guard for information, yonghao and Joe ran up to NTUC to find out which organisations are in the tripartie relationship with NTUC.....

Above is Bernard, our official cameraman cum comdedian....cum lamer...

#After completing the questionaire, we checked....and checked....and Checked and CHECKED (because we have got alot of time and because we didn't want to lose any more unneccessary points.) and our checking paid off! We scored full marks (60) for the task!!! We were elated...Mr Ang, the teacher-in-charged of that station seemed geniunely impressed....haha...we took a picture before we left.....the victorious 09/03!!!

#We reached school at 9.31am (a full 29 mins ahead of the time that we are supposed to report)....we went back to our home room and took a rest and had our debrief....[below are pics of me, meimei and leena monkeying around]

the above pic is one of my favourites....it's taken with Mrs Soon and Meimei...me and meimei look like Mrs Soon's daughters....haha...

#At 10.45am, we went down to the parade square for the prize giving ceremony....the moment we saw Yong Hao (opps...i forgot to mention that he is the Head for this race) at the prize giving stand, there was excitment among us (so did we win? Which placing?!?)....the JC1 prize giving went on with the JC 1 class champion scoring only about 155 marks...then the JC2 prize giving began...it began with the 5th prize...and so when we noticed that Yong Hao was the last person in the row, in our hearts, we knew we had won!! There was just an adrenaline rush when the second JC2 placing was announced....the MC went, "A round of applause for 24/03 who came in with a score of 162"...by then, we were jumping up and down like a bunch of impatient gorillas (Mrs Soon was at a corner and she was beaming!)...and the moment of truth...MC,"And our champion for the JC2 is.....09/03 with a score of 183.5!"...that was it...we just screamed our heads off and did our ever famous 09/03 cheer...(the newly improved and improvished one..including Ms Kwan-Terry's name this time)...

I say Mugger you say YONG
Mugger YONG, Mugger YONG (Mugger yong = Yong Zhi Hao)
I say Kangwei you say ERRR
Kangwei ERRR, Kangwer ERRR (Kangwei loves to burp!)
I say Ms Kwan-Terry you say CUTE
Super ACT CUTE, super ACT CUTE (This is the newly added line)
I say 09 you can ZAI
09 ZAI, 09 ZAI!
(cheers...09, 09, 09,09....until everyone around us starts to look pissed)

the above pic are the teachers...i took the picture because Mr Sng Peng Boo looked so cute in his suspenders.....he is our "dad" (so called la)...its a stupid thing that we came up with sometime ago...for details, go to leena or meimei's blog.

above is YongHao receiving the prize from our Principal, Mr Tan.

#After the moment of elation, craziness, we went to canteen for ice-cream which Lishi and Chee YOng has prepared for the class...there was a birthday boy...who was kana sabotaged by his friends and they caused quite a big commotion in the canteen...with all the food flying around, benches top coming off and even a dustin cover being thrown in rambo style...
We were getting quite irritated with those bunch of people and guess who saved the day? Mrs SOON!!! Although being so much smaller in size compared to those guys, her presence certainly commands respect....she went to tell off the guys and insisted that they clear up the mess....(Muhaaha...Corrective WOrk Order....Serve them right!) When Mrs Soon came to us, we started clapping....Mrs Soon is just an amazing teacher!

Doesn't it feel great to know that you have won the prize with the blue ribbon that says "1ST"?

Ice cream! Ice-cream!

The commotion in the canteen got kapo AJCian curious...

Mrs Soon saves the day!

The 09 act cute girls...

#After the ice-cream treat, a group of us left for Ang Mo Kio Central to have our lunch....

The stylish meimei, shuqi, shuxin and act cute kangwei and yanting (at the back!)

jac, marlin, leena, meimei and myself at Ang Mo Kio, feasting!

><))o> a trip to the ULU plaza
#Ok its not really the ULU plaza...its Thomson Plaza. Intan and i made a trip down to the shopping centre today. While we were on the bus we aren't too sure if we had passed the shopping centre without us knowing it....

intan: Amy, i think we are heading to town already.

amy: Are you sure? (amy getting frantic and looked out through the window panals at the unfamiliar scene)

amy: Do you think we should ask someone?

intan: Ask the busdriver lah!

amy: What? You want me to walk all the way to the front? I will look like an idiot! Why not i ask the girl behind me? (amy turns over and glance at the girl behind. The girl probably pretended that she didn't know what was going on.)

amy to girl: Excuse me, does this bus goes to Thomson Plaza?

girl: Yeah, yes. (Points outside the window) See, that's Thomson PLaza.

amy: (feeling dumb, stupid) Oh..oh...ok..thank you!

#Yeah....what the $!^%&%*$ i must have sound really dumb....Thomson Plaza at first glance looked like some Malaysia rundown shopping centre...but there's nice and unique shops there though...lots of hidden "alleys" and lots of fast food restaurants, cakeshops....all those food are just so tempting....

#Didn't manage to find out much about the building even though we went to the management office to dig information...(turns out that the management didn't even know about the AJ race....some miscommunication here? Well...i'm not too sure....) Eventually, me and intan got a map for part of the building and we copied down all the name and unit number of the stores...hopefully it would be useful!

#I've submitted a blogskin to www.blogskins.com which i have created months ago and it is really well received by the public....i'm so happy...feel a sense of achievement....today, i submitted another skin which i have taken days to do up...hopefully it does as well too...hehe...
You can click on Autumn Love and Butterfly Angel to see the skins that i have created =)

><))o> Amazing Race in the AJ style
#My school is organising this massive AJ amazing race on this Friday. National Day celebration has evolved from the conventional National Day concerts to a interclass race. Exciting? Perhapes. But i'm not too eager about it. Having participated in the choir amazing race tells me that the clues and tasks for each station would neither be easy to find nor complete. My class chose three locations for the race which includes Thomson Plaza, some amplithreate behind some place (which i dunno where) and the Teacher Union Centre (???i think its called that). My group was suppose to research on Thomson Plaza and tomorrow, me and intan are going down to check out that area.....Thomson Plaza...i have no idea where is it even! Oh gosh...i typed in Thomson PLaza and two locations came out:

THOMSON PLAZA4, MARIGOLD DRIVE S(576385)
THOMSON PLAZA301, UPPER THOMSON ROAD S(574408)

Great...how am i suppose to know which is the one i am suppose to go? *sigh* See what i mean? What an ULU place Thomson PLaza is....anyone who has any information about it, especially pertaining to it's relation to Singapore History, please do me a kind favour and tell me ok? Thanks!

><))o> Internet practical joke?
#Its been a few days since i use the net and the first thing i saw when i go to my blog was blank at the area where my blog is supposed to be, blank at the area where my tagboard is supposed to be....i think i was in a state of shock...friendster was also not working smoothly with error messages popping out...is this a joke? I mean an internet practical joke? My blog seemed to be working fine now...but the tagboard is down again...(gross....its the second time this happened)...good thing i am prepared for it! See those words in purple at the end of entry that says "comments"? Yup...that's the one...and you guessed it...its not there for "window" decoration...its been there since Golden Age (ok that's lame) for you to leave your comments...so dear friends, make do with the current situation while i get the tag board fixed alright?

#Read The Sunday Times today...frankly, i love it...and i look forward to it every Sunday because the creative layout and interesting articles makes The Sunday Times different from the normal Straits Times. As i was saying, i was reading The Sunday Times today and i came across the horoscope section. Under Aries, it says(or so i remember):

You are now looking for freedom from a particular situation or a particular person. You are tempted by the forbidden fruit. Try to look at things from different perspectives and then consider the situation.

#Forbidden fruit eh? The horoscope makes me sound like Eve...hey! Where's Adam then? I thought we are into this together? (Ok lame again...) Haha....as it is now, the forbidden fruit that is supposed to tempt me have not seemed to appear...so that's good i guess...

#Thinking about the forbidden fruit led me to think about Newton and his ever amazing apple story....you see, Newton was sitting comfortable on the grass, shaded by the canopy of the apple tree and suddenly the forbidden fruit (the apple), falls and hit his head. He stared at the apple with curiousity. That was it. He was tempted by the forbidden fruit. He went on to discover gravity which went on to make the lives of physics-idiots like me difficult. (OK...triple lame!)
